Aerial silks is a fabric apparatus hung from above that is climbed, wrapped around the body, and/or tied to create dramatic drops, poses and movements in the air.  Beginner students will learn climbs, poses and knots to suspend themselves in the air. Be ready to build strength, flexibility, and coordination- not to mention bruises in unusual places…! No experience required!

Prerequisite: Students must have completed at least one or more full seven week sessions of Beginner Silks, have instructor approval, or have trained at another facility. Students must be able to basic climb, foot knot in the air, invert to crochet hooked feet in the air, and x-back in foot locks to enroll in this series.

  • Mondays: 6-7:15pm
  • Single Class $25, Class Package of 7 $140 (20% discount)

Prerequisite: Students must have completed at least one or more full seven week sessions of Level 2 Silks and received instructor approval, or have trained at another facility. Must have strong straddle inversion, solid hip key, and be able to stay in the air for 3-5 minutes.

This class will be explore dynamic movement, introductory to intermediate rope vocabulary and some advanced silks concepts with lots of conditioning and head games for the theory enthusiasts.  Plan to bring layers to protect your body, including stretch jeans for rope.

All classes: Ages 16-90 (With parental consent).

PREPARATION for classes:

  1. Please wear comfortable, close-fitting, yoga-type clothing that covers armpits, waist and backs of the knees. Men may want to wear briefs, not boxers.
  2. Bring a water bottle.
  3. Bare feet – please make sure they are clean and fresh.
  4. Long hair tied back.
  5. No jewelry, rivets, zippers, or anything else that could damage the silks.
  6. No hand lotion (it will interfere with your grip), and please no heavy fragrances, natural or otherwise.
  7. Students will be most comfortable practicing on an empty stomach, a two hour window between your last meal and class is recommended.
  8. A yoga mat is highly recommended for warm-ups

Absence Policy:  Please note, we work hard to make sure class size is small so that you get the most for your time and money.  That said, there are NO REFUNDS at any time.

In House Discount: Sign up for one full Aerial Class session (7 weeks) and get your 2nd (or all additional full classes) at a 50% discount.  May not be shared between people, applies to single student only.  All classes must be taken in the same 7- week session.
